My name is Angel; I was born 244 years ago in Ireland, in a small town into a good family. 27 years into an unremarkable life. I met a woman; she told me she could show me a world I have never seen. She wasn’t kidding. Life as a Vampire was a constant thrill, the power, the danger, the outfits, (They were good outfits) never getting old, also a plus. But in the end, it was all about the kill, killing was everything, until I killed the wrong girl. Gypsies from my experience are heavily into vengeance. They cursed me; they gave me back my soul, my conscience. I had to live with everything I had done and I had to suffer and live forever. It took another woman to show me, that my endless life was worth living, her name was Buffy, and she was a Slayer. You might actually know her, she was my first love. I’m not saying it was an easy relationship, but it was real. I guess I knew it couldn’t last, you see the gypsies pulled a funny on me, if I ever experienced a true moment of pure happiness, and if my soul was ever at peace. I’ll lose it, and become a monster again. So I had to leave, I wanted to shut the world out. No more love, no more pain, no more demons. I figured life didn’t have any more surprises for me, alive for 244 years I thought I had saw everything. Then I came to L.A.
Things were pretty slow at first, living in an apartment/basement in down town L.A. Then one night everything changed. I met this man he called himself Doyle, and he told me about an ancient prophecy, about a vampire with a soul who had a key part in the apocalypse. I didn’t believe him at first then he spoke about my past, things I hadn’t told anyone and all the people that were there were either dead or off somewhere else killing some poor defenseless person, something us vampire were famous for. He repeated my past years in Sunnydale, with Buffy. I believed him after that. He also told me about the Powers of Be, and that they sent him visions, and that he was half demon like me (the non blood sucking variety) we became friends and fought side by side protecting the world from danger. Later on I met an old friend from Sunnydale, Coridelia Chase a close friend of Buffy and was in L.A. trying to get a job in acting. When that went cold she starting bugging me, and soon she was part of the team too.
